Ever since the company built its first passenger vehicle in 1955, value that exceeds the size of the car has been the cornerstone of Suzuki’s philosophy. It all started with motorcycles, and following that success, Suzuki created his first car in 1955: the Suzuki Suzulight, which revolutionized the automotive industry not only in Japan but also worldwide. It embodies everything that Suzuki still stands for today: compact, light, innovative and quality products that are built to last and offer value that exceeds the size of the car.
Suzuki’s current vehicle line-up consists mainly of city-cars, complemented with SUV’s. Since its debut in 1988, the Vitara series has earned an enviable reputation as a car that has a stylish design, a compact, easy-to-handle size, a comfortable on-road ride and real off-road performance. Its urban look and on and off-road performance have made it a particular favorite in Europe, where 1.1 million units have been sold to date. In its latest incarnation the Vitara is a new kind of SUV: customizable to match individual taste, offering superb 4WD performance yet keeping fuel consumptions and emissions at bay.
Recently, Suzuki launched the all new Ignis microcar with an innovative design and trendy looks. Also, the all new Swift remains a core model in the line-up, with the Swift Sport as the most playful sporty version of the range.
As for the future products, Suzuki will continue to be a strong player in the city-car segments and we will see more low emission models like the new Baleno mild hybrid.
