Established in 1954, SsangYong Motor Company is the oldest car manufacturer in South-Korea, where it holds the 4th position in terms of sales. Over the past 60 years the company has developed a full line-up of SUV and lifestyle utility vehicles.
Recently backed by India’s industrial conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra, the company has renewed and extended its line-up, which today includes 5 models. As a SUV-specialist, the company exports its models through 1.650 sales outlets in over 115 countries and its reach has been extending throughout major markets such as Western Europe, South America and key emerging markets including China and India.
Sales in Europe started in 1996, over 264.000 cars have been sold since then, demonstrating the wide appeal of SsangYong products. Since its integration into Mahindra & Mahindra in 2010, SsangYong developed and launched 5 new vehicles and intends to continue expanding its line-up in the following years.
Recently, SsangYong launched the all new Korando, showcasing a modern design, high-tech interior, eco-friendly engines and an upcoming all electric version.
