Hyundai (South Korea) is a relatively young brand. Founded in 1967, they started with the licensed production of the Ford Cortina. Their first own model, the Pony, was introduced in 1974. Today, the brand is a rising star and big brands like Volkswagen, Toyota and Renault are carefully monitoring its evolution. Hyundai has an impressive range of models in all the important segments. The brand’s visibility in sports greatly contributes to its image. Hyundai is very active in football-sponsoring and the World Rally Championship. In 2020, Hyundai announced the new sub-brand IONIQ that will be launching a wide range of full electric vehicles. So we can still expect many new models in the near future. And there is always more to come!
